Data Engineer – Want to work with really Complex systems and Databases?

*Data Engineer (MySQL/MongoDB) required by world leading Ecommerce Company based in West London.*

One of the biggest and most profitable ecommerce companies in West London are currently on the lookout for a Data Engineer with an aptitude for Database work (MySQL/MongoDB) to join a team in owning the Website/CMS/faceted search platform.

What do we want? A Data Engineer (MySQL/MongoDB) who has experience of working with MongoDB/MySQL OR NoSQL and would like to learn how to work with Python.

The Tech:

They use data to make complex business decisions, manipulating data, analysing it and interpreting it. The heart of the system is built in MongoDB and MySQL databases; this is where the complexity happens. You’ll also be responsible for extending the python based application, modifying it, coming up with new ways of using it and design new products to link into it. In a nutshell you are going to be working on incredibly complex systems built in Python/MySQL/MongoDB.

You will OWN everything to do with this personal recommendation and analytic platform therefore we are looking for a data engineer who is looking to work with complex querying and wants to move into a more full stack engineering role (where OOP will be central to your success).

Maybe you have done a master’s in Computer Engineering/Science and would like to gain more knowledge in Python and OpenSource? Or have worked for 2 years and you want to go to a really cool environment.
