Part time FD / Partner

Part-time Finance Director – 2/3 days per week.

There may be the scope to take over the role of Chief Operating Officer as well which may make this a full time role, however this option is up to the individual and filling the FD role is the priority.

Key responsibilities

• Reporting at board room level and all related input
• Direct input into the strategy of the business
• Take responsibility for ensuring that the financial processes, systems and controls are operating effectively
• Responsibility for maintaining Statutory records for the business
• Preparation of all Statutory Accounts
• Budget preparation and all related monthly management reporting
• Providing the CEO with core information relating to the financial performance
• Review of all management accounts packs
• Managing transactional and overseeing/reviewing sales ledger, purchase ledger, payroll, cash posting and all general ledger entries.
• Handling VAT, PAYE and Tax duties, including corporation tax.
• Liaise with auditors and preparing audit packs
• This is a commercial role and will involve input into client negotiations and the preparation of pitchwork

Finance Director Skills & Requirements

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
• Currently an FD
• Must be a strategic thinker
• Exceptional staff management background
• Excellent communicator
• Project management skills
• Proven ability of working under pressure
• Strong IT skills
