Portfolio Director - Shopping Centres/Retail Parks - London



Portfolio Director – Shopping Centres/Retail Parks – London. Our Client is a market leading Property Management Company which has had a very successful year in terms of further expansion. They management a broad portfolio consisting of offices, shopping centres and retail parks across the UK. They are due for further growth in 2016 and as a result have instructed us to recruit a Portfolio Director to take responsibility for one of their key portfolios.


The Portfolio Director role will include:


  • Responsible for the management of a portfolio of retail parks and shopping centres across the UK.

  • Providing strategic direction and taking accountability and lead for delivering profitability to the business.

  • Supporting the Client Service Directors in the delivery of our full property management service, helping maximise value to ensure satisfied clients and retention of existing business as well as future growth potential.

  • Developing property management services on offer and ensuring standards are maintained.

  • Responsible for all contract sign offs for the portfolio.

  • Managing a team of surveyors and property managers across sites, ensuring that all day to day management is conducted.

  • Reviewing audit reports and implementing actions to ensure statutory responsibilities are complied with.

  • Attending and contributing to regular Director Meetings.

  • Negotiating completion and renewal of all Management Agreements on the portfolio.

  • Responsible for leading client relationships, ensuring they are kept informed and advised of any issues.

  • Analysing feedback on service and ensuring any improvement plans are implemented.

  • Negotiating and agreeing service charge budgets with all clients.

  • Approving budgets and year end packs.

  • Responsible for providing the Board with a financial risk overview and suggestions on how to improve.

The Person: To apply, you MUST be MRICS qualified with at least 7 years PQE. Please ONLY apply if you have experience within a senior position overseeing a portfolio of shopping centres or retail parks. This role will play a key part in the company’s further expansion and as a result you must have excellent communication and time management skills.
