Programme Manager
My client, a multi-national $2 billion turnover Professional Services company, is looking for a Programme Manager to oversee and drive their new EMEA Project Management Office.
The incoming Programme Manager will be responsible for managing huge change as they set Best Practice Project Management processes, educate the incumbent staff and drive improvements in delivery of a range of IT projects.
Responsibilities
- Initiates and actively manages a portfolio of projects ranging from small through to medium sized, multi-streamed projects with strategic impact
- Delivers projects using a structured approach as set out within the project methodology process
- Sets out, promotes and actively sponsors the project management methodology
- Identify, build and manage project teams
- Develop business cases, as necessary, to support the project, including benefit identification, implementation approach, business change activities required, success measurement identification, estimation and costing
- Produce communication strategies regarding the proposed business solution
- Controls and manages the impact of changes to scope, budget and timescales through the agreed process
- Identifies and mitigates risks recognising interdependencies and escalating where appropriate
- Generate, identify and manage project communications and change management issues as the project requires
- Builds and maintains relationships with key stakeholders
Desired Skills and Experience
- Prince 2 qualified
- Experience working in a Big 4 Consultancy company / Legal / Banking / Insurance organisation
- Demonstrable Senior Project Management / Programme Management experience in the past
- Strong change management skills and experience
- Full project lifecycle experience
