Semi-Independence Unit Manager - Young People 16-21 years old

Health & Ed are recruiting for clients who have a number of Semi Independent Units and Residential Children’s Home in South East England and provide support and care to vulnerable young people. Health & Ed’s main focus is to assist our clients by recruiting professional staff with experience in providing support for young people, and empowering them to make positive decisions.

Health & Ed Recruitment are looking for Managers to work within a number of 24-Hour Semi-independent Units with young people from 16 years old in London and the surrounding areas.

Successful candidates will required to manage a team of staff and resources of the Home and be proactive in providing a positive living experience for the young people. Experience with working with young people with challenging behaviour is essential for this role.

To be consider for this role candidates will need to have the following;

• Minimum NVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care or above


• Minimum of 2 years management experience (in young people setting)


• The ability to motivate staff


• Excellent communication skills


• Ability to be flexible, approachable and accessible at all times.

It is important for successful candidates to be energetic, motivated and enthusiastic in their approach. An understanding of substance misuse and mental health needs would also be an advantage.

Applicants must be qualified to the appropriate standard and hold an Enhanced DBS Certificate registered with the DBS update service.
