Salary will be dependent on experience.


Plus £5,500 car allowance, full family health care cover, potential 18% bonus and 27.5 days annual leave.


About the role


Based in either Chesterfield or London, in this new exciting role you’ll work in partnership with the Cost Reduction Business Partner to establish a continual pipeline of cost reduction opportunities on a multibillion pound cost base to ensure that RMG continuously reduces costs and improves efficiency, whilst systematically assessing business unit P+Ls for value leakage using the SPEED model whilst agreeing and monitoring actions.


Using deep dive analytics to provide financial insight and recommendations to support Business Partners in coming up with cost reduction opportunities, whilst collaborating in performing Operating model reviews – objective reviews of functions/sub-functions to identify efficiency saving.


A key aspect of the role will be to support the finance deliverables within a project by producing credible and accurate information, along with the development and presentation of business cases for cost reduction opportunities. This requires you to build sound relationships with key stakeholders in the business.


In addition, you will ensure adherence and compliance with Group procedures and policies is met, together with escalation of risks and issues when required.


About You


Currently working in or with previous experience of process reengineering, you’ll be able to drive through proposals and create business cases.


The successful candidate will be degree/MBA level educated (or equivalent) or membership (or working towards) of a relevant professional body (such as ACA or CIMA), with a proven history of advanced Excel skills and exposure to project research work.


You could have a consultancy or technical data analyst background, but it’s your energy and independent self-starter nature we are looking for, alongside your ability to drive your own workload with strong experience of creative, commercial and entrepreneurial problem solving skills. These are the key skills you’ll need to be a success in this challenging and rewarding role.


Experience in continuous improvement with accreditation, such as Lean Six Sigma, would be advantageous.
