United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland: Knowledge and Communications Executive
6 month fixed term contract
We are looking for a pro-active and self-driven individual to join us as Knowledge and Communications Executive helping to drive the Partnership Development Team’s strategic communications and proactively identify opportunities to enhance team visibility.

Our UK and Global Programmes department delivers humanitarian and development programmes, builds partnerships with institutional donors – including governments, multi-laterals and trusts – and drives lasting change. Together, we save children’s lives, fight for their rights and help them fulfil their potential. As Knowledge and Communications Executive you will drive the Partnership Development team’s strategic communications internally, within the Save the Children wider movement and also externally, with the teams institutional partners. You will work with team members on initiatives that support the expansion of funding and strategic portfolios, visibility and ways of working. In addition you will:
- Collaborate with team members to develop and embed our account management approach and maximize the benefits of the team to the organization
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to support the team to engage with our partners
- Support in identifying and developing specific ‘partnership making’ funding opportunities and in building donor relationships at all levels
Maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders in order to ensure alignment of key pieces of work. To be successful you will have a strong understanding of project design, quality programming and effective delivery with the ability to work in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment. A creative thinker, you will have excellent organisational skills and experience of prioritising competing demands. In addition you will have:
A strong understanding and interest in international development
- Excellent relationship building skills
- A strong understanding and professional grounding in communications
- Skills in donor research, market assessment and account development
- Experience of client management, working with institutional donors or equally demanding clients
- Experience of undertaking industry trend and client specific research, finding relevant, reliable and up to date information quickly.
