Our Team

The International HR Team sits within the broader Human Resources team and provides the International Division with HR operational and strategic support to managers and their teams.

The International Division is collectively responsible for the design, implementation and evaluation of Oxfam GB’s development and humanitarian programmes across six global regions and supporting the transition to the Oxfam 2020 ways of working.

The Role

The HR Manager – International provides direct support on HR Strategy (People Issues) to the International Programmes Director. This includes supporting the International Programmes Teams and International Programme Director as a strategic HR Business Partner with a focus on the people aspects of ‘One Oxfam.’ They will help also oversee resourcing and talent management within the International Programme Teams.

In addition the HR Manager will manage the International HR Team to ensure that Country HR teams are adequately supported to fulfil their role within the Country teams, across our 6 regions in which we operate.

What we are looking for

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional committed to making a difference. You will have worked in a complex global organisation at a senior HR level and worked closely with senior managers to support the needs of their teams.

Innovative and driven you will be confident working at leadership level. You’ll have good knowledge and understanding of UK Employment Law. Strong communication skills, and understand the complexities of working in a multicultural environment with teams that are connected globally. In addition, you’ll have the ability to manage multiple priorities, and able to work independently within a fast paced environment.

You’ll be dedicated to strong management and development of HR teams and understand the importance of supporting growth in HR roles. Ideally you will have supported managing large teams through significant change.
