Lettings Negotiator (trainee considered), Estate Agents



About Us


Atkinson McLeod is a young, independent property company, founded in 2002 and covering Sales, Lettings and Property Management. We currently have 5 offices covering Central, East and South London, with ambitious plans for expansion in the future.


Job Purpose


To meet or exceed targets set for negotiating the letting of properties for landlords, and provide exceptional customer service.


Responsibilities


  • Taking enquiries via property portals regarding properties to let, and generating further applications through posting adverts for properties online

  • Qualifying and registering applicants onto computer system, identifying their needs and matching them to suitable properties

  • Keeping in regular contact with applicants to arrange viewings for suitable properties

  • Conducting viewings on properties and selling the benefits of the property to applicants

  • Providing landlords with regular feedback following viewings

  • Securing offers for properties, and negotiating offer terms between applicants and landlords

  • Follow-up administration including arranging references for applicants and organising signed tenancy agreements

  • Liaising with Property Management team to ensure properties are cleaned and prepared for tenants arrival

Skills Required


  • Driving license essential (company car provided)

  • Experience of working in a sales environment desireable but not essential

  • High level of drive, determination and tenacity

  • Ability to motivate and mentor others to achieve targets

  • Good relationship skills and ability to quickly build rapport with vendors

  • Excellent knowledge of current sales market and local area in order to provide accurate valuations

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills

  • High level of customer service
