Assistant Store Manager - Card Factory - Watford
We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Manager to join us at Card Factory. As the UK’s largest specialist card retailer our continued growth and success is entirely dependent on the hard work and dedication of our staff.
The Assistant Manager will be assisting the store manager on a day to day basis with all aspects of the running of the store as well as maintaining high levels of customer service and driving unbeatable value.
Since our launch in 1997, Card Factory has become the fastest growing greetings card retailer in the UK. We sell a wide selection of cards, as well as gifts, gift bags and decorative wrapping materials. When it comes to special occasions, whatever the need, we’ve got it wrapped up! And we’re still growing; today we have over 700 stores, in every corner of the UK, with more opening up all the time.
As an assistant store manager you will be expected to:
Drive sales through your team
You will be assisting the store manager to help coach and develop your team
Have a commercial awareness and to drive value
In the absence of the store manager you will be responsible for cash handling, end of day banking and ensuring compliance.
Taking responsibility for rotas and ensuring wages are kept within budget allocations in the store manager’s absence.
To assist the store manager with stock control including ordering We would need you to have:
Previous supervisory experience from a fast paced environment
A high level of commercial awareness
Ability to work well under pressure
Passion for all seasons especially Christmas and Mother’s day We would require you to be flexible and willing to work varying hours in line with business needs.
