Business Development Manager Light Commercial
Our client has a vacancy for a Business Development Manager to generate profitable sales, by setting up a network of new fabricators within the West Midlands area. Products are light commercial aluminium and will include residential doors and windows, folding sliding doors etc The role covers the South of UK.
The role
To represent the business in a professional manner at all times.
To maximise turnover and profit to agreed budgets.
To service new customers accounts effectively.
Executive logical and effective journey plans whenever possible.
Ensure customer manuals and price lists are kept up to date.
Programme training for new and existing customers on product, manufacturing, estimating and installation. in conjunction with the training department.
Submit weekly and monthly reports to Team Leader on agreed dates through Project Services.
Endeavour to keep up to date with project and fabricator enquiries.
Keep up to date on products, market trends and competitors.
Skills required
Knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the product
Ability to research the competition
Strong ability to generate sales leads
Anticipate any problems and pro-actively solve them effectively
Listen to what the customer says and focus on helping them find a solution
Build good solid relationships through networking and nurturing
Embrace new ideas and continually improve sales pitch
Strong and Assertive closer
Knowledge and experience required
Educated to at least GCSE Level standard
Basic technical understanding of aluminum systems
Proven door opener
Strong and proven sales experience in selling: hinges, handles, fittings, window hardware, or PVCu
Experienced in account management
Ability to meet goals
Competent in Microsoft software packages
