Group Reporting Accountant
A Group Reporting Accountant is sought by a leading, global shipping and logistics organisation for their London office. They possess a substantial, several hundred strong, fleet and have the capability and know-how to link this into road and air based solutions. They are growing and last year’s revenues were over 7% up on the previous year.
Reporting to the European Senior Finance Manager, the responsibilities of the Group Reporting Accountant will include:
– Facilitating the timely and accurate onward reporting from the c.40 European Operating Companies (OpCo’s) to the parent company.
– Ensuring robust controls & processes exist to provide error-free information.
– Acting as the main point of contact for queries from all European OpCo’s.
– Producing additional analysis to support monthly & quarterly Board reports.
– Updating and owning the Group Accounting Policy manual (IFRS)
– Working on a significant number of research and analytical projects
The ideal candidate for the Group Reporting Accountant role will be a qualified accountant who has qualified in either practice or industry. You will have rounded technical skills (ideally in IFRS) and will be an excellent communicator who is organised, methodical and accurate. You will be able to coach / develop field based finance staff of varying levels of competence and you will be able to demonstrate the ability to solve problems as they arise. It is envisaged that you will progress internally after a period of success in this role.
Salary Package: £45000 – £53000 + 10% pension + bens
