Interim Group Financial Accountant
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Finance Department of a top 50 International Law firm which recently converted to an LLP to join as their Group Financial Accountant on a 12 month FTC basis.
As the Group Financial Accountant you will work closely with the Group Financial Controller, Director of Finance, Director of Operations and Finance managers in London and the international offices.
Responsibilities include taking on the preparation of the annual LLP accounts, preparation of the London and international offices LLP accounts, London Service company and consolidated accounts for the firm in accordance with UK GAAP, planning and organisation of the consolidation process which will include the production of the yearend financial reports (including analysis, commentary and associated schedules) for the London LLP and its affiliated entities.
As well as this you will also be responsible for ensuring the year end members interests / partners’ current accounts and associated schedules are accurately presented in the LLP accounts, liaising with auditors and tax advisers, assisting the Group Financial Controller with monthly review of management reports, balance sheet reconciliations & intercompany balances and ensuring all partner balances are reviewed monthly and any discrepancies are highlighted and resolved.
Key skills and requirements for this role include having and in-depth knowledge of UK GAAP, as well as international accounting experience, be able to produce published financial statements and be able to confidently discuss matters with senior management. Working in a professional services firm environment will be essential for this role as LLP/Partnership experience is needed as well as knowledge of partnership tax.
You will also need to hold a recognised accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA) with intermediate knowledge of excel.
