GREAT opportunity – FMCG company representing a number of premium spirits, liqueurs, beer and soft drink brands, seeks entrepreneurial Marketing & PR Executive to support overall marketing and events co-ordination, and work with the Marketing & PR Manager supporting a number of strategic brand marketing initiatives, helping develop and help activate brand plans and strategies for a number of premium spirits and beer brands.
In this role you will organize and co-ordinate marketing events and trade shows, including tastings and Point of Sale (POS) presentations and displays, providing marketing information for the Sales Team, managing Social Media channels (Facebook, Instagram etc.), assisting with brand planning and budgeting, and organising press clippings and helping run of a busy press office, dealing with media requests and supporting other departments.
This is a new role which has come about through company growth and is an excellent opportunity for someone with 1+ years relevant marketing experience in an FMCG or related industry with a keen interest in premium drink brands and cocktails.
The is an entrepreneurial role and requires someone who can think on their feet, is commercially astute and is a creative and driven person. You willl be working with some of the best and interesting brands within the UK drinks market, supported by a great team who are driven to succeed.
Responsibilities:
- Dealing with media requests and handling PR samples
- Events and trade show co-ordination
- Ensuring marketing calendar is kept up-to-date
- Create and assist with implementing brand activity
- Support the brand planning process
- Produce bi-monthly evaluation reports for brand owners and internal reporting
- Support budget and reporting management
- Write and issue press releases
- Responsible for the social media channels
- Collating and report press cuttings
- Creating brand case studies
- Work with the sales teams to implement events.
- Assist with stock ordering for PR samples.
- Effectively manage any adhoc support requests
- Ensure the company website is kept up to date with interesting and relevant content
- Management of agencies across the business
- POS design and development
- Organising and implementing brand owner visits
Required experience:
- Bachelors degree or graduate calibre
- Previous experience of working in a marketing department or a busy press office
- Experience in managing social media accounts effectively
- Knowledge of the drinks or FMCG industry
- Good presentation and written skills
- Strong numeracy skills and experience of budget management
- A keen eye for detail
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work on a number of projects at the same time
- Team player demonstrating collaboration and communication
- A natural ability to build relationships
