Senior Finance Analyst
A Senior Finance Analyst is sought by a growing division of a leading global publishing company. They are leaders in their field and their publications are read by people around the world who rely on their content to develop key skills for use in the workplace and everyday life. They operate in over 120 countries and most people reading this advert will have read or used one or more of their titles at some point in their life.
Reporting to the Finance Director (Europe), the Senior Finance Analyst will provide a high level of business analysis and commercial support across the Editorial, Operations and Central Functions teams. Specific duties will include
– Manage the global investment approval process for all areas of publishing.
– Work closely with global teams to build business cases & sales forecasts.
– Provide post investment analysis and develop global profitability analysis.
– Produce high quality budgets and forecasts for both revenues & costs.
– Assist in the production of the monthly management pack & commentary.
– Re-engineer processes to develop an improved suite of KPIs and analysis.
– A range of ad hoc and commercial projects.
The ideal candidate for the Senior Finance Analyst role will be a qualified accountant (ACA / CIMA preferred) who has already gained significant analytical experience in a divisional role in industry. Consumer products or publishing experience would be a slight advantage but experience of building business cases, analysing investment opportunities and supporting an operating business will be more relevant. Further, candidates will have strong academics, will enjoy working accurately and at pace and will be able to interact positively with non-finance people. Significant opportunities for progression will be open to strong Senior Finance Analysts and this should be seen as an entry point role.
Salary: £55000 – £60000 + 10% bonus + bens
