Back Office Manager – Central London
Role Mission

To oversee and drive the Back Office Department business goals in line with corporate policies and procedures ensuring a smooth run of the store. To support the adequate integration and optimization between back-office and front office.To provide process improvement initiatives that are necessary to improve the operational efficiency of the business.


Key Accountabilities


Stock control


  • Owner of stockroom organization and lead of the stock team

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with the Harrods team

  • Ensure that effective communication is maintained with the Departments, Harrods and Gucci corporate functions

  • Manage organization of stock in accordance with Gucci directives and procedures (style, size and colour)

  • Ensure receipt, quantities, tagging, deliveries of products, articles, and supplies in a timely manner

  • Ensure replenishment is done hourly and accurately

  • Control and supervise transfers and all other operations in a timely manner

  • Supervise the flow of goods between storage and the shop floor, prepare and control arrangement of articles

  • Ensure orders and stock levels of stationary, drinks and packaging orders and stock levels

  • Plan and undertake inventory operations, and be a stakeholder in monitoring loss-prevention and unknown mark-downs

  • Liaise with the Inventory Control team

Till

  • Check sales reports and make sure transactions are done correctly

  • Check discrepancies regularly and to be able to rectify them when possible

  • Liaise with accounts and finance department

After sales

  • Keep track of what goes to the repair centre

  • Follow up on communications to and from the repair centre

  • Make sure items are collected by customers

  • Follow up on pending credit notes

Facility

  • Be the point of contact with the corporate Facility team for all the related issues (refurbishments, set up for special events etc)

Team Management

  • Ensure a strong level of awareness in regard to store operations and policies

  • Ensure that the whole team is constantly updated about all in-store procedures providing training if needed

  • Manage the good performance of the Back Office team

Key Requirements


  • At least 2 years experience in a similar role

  • Fluent in English

  • Highly committed to the Gucci brand and with a strong passion for opportunity presented

  • Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
