My client has a global impact when they recruit into their specialist area, specialist Financial personnel across of number of different markets including banking, commerce, construction and other privately owned firms. My client has established a client base that dominates the FSTE 250 and reaches more niche companies that are vital to today’s economy.
Day to day you will be expected to undertake the duties of a recruitment consultant. These will range from proactively sourcing candidates from job boards, ad response and headhunting to developing new business in and expanding the client base. This position is very closely related to a B2B sales position, thus is incredibly challenging and is for the ‘go getters’ of the world. Additional responsibilities will be interviewing candidates, marketing the company via adverts placed and the calls made and ensuring that deals are facilitates in an efficient and professional manner.
As a consultant you will be required to have a number of core competencies including a strong work ethic that can motivate you to work individually as well as part of a team, a tenacious approach that will mean that you will continue to work hard even if your day ‘has not been so good’ and a persuasive manner when talking to candidates that will allow you to communicate effectively with them. Academic’s are also very important. All candidates must have at least a 2.1 degree in any subject from and top 100 universities and very strong A levels (300 UCAS points). Sales experience is necessary but not essential.
With the hard work that you put in financial and non financial incentives will be put in place. A starting salary of £23,000 will be offered as standard and you will work on commission to ensure that you are earning well in the region of £40,000 year one. You will also be offered incentives such as cars, holidays, lunch clubs etc to ensure that you are continuously motivated.
