Senior Support Worker - Offenders (Supported Housing)
Work Relief Charity Recruitment is recruiting for one of the world’s most recognisable charities. We are looking to recruit a Senior Support Worker for their Croydon project to be responsible for the support of an identified caseload of customers (single homeless young people) with complex needs and a history of offending.

West Croydon
37.5 hours (on a rota basis), Permanent
£26,000 per annum

The Role:
- You will be responsible for the support of an identified caseload of customers with complex needs and a history of substance misuse issues with responsibility for key working, coordinating support packages and proactively ensuring all required tasks and activities are completed.
- Be able to support customers in a way which suits their individual needs, and engage with those who can often be ‘difficult to engage’.
- Undertake specialist interventions appropriate to the customers needs including but not limited to those related to substance misuse, mental health and offending behaviour.
The Candidate:
- Interested applicants must have similar experience of working in a complex needs environment, ideally within a residential setting.
- Experience of supporting vulnerable people with offending histories and who may be at risk of re-offending
- Experience of occupancy agreements and dealing with voids and rent arrears targets
- Experience of working in partnership with Statutory and Voluntary Agencies to deliver co-ordinated support to customers
- Experience of supporting individuals to address offending behaviours, manage court orders and work jointly with the Criminal Justice system, Police and other specialist partner agencies
