Solution Engineer – London, UK

Reporting to: Director, Europe
Geotab is looking for a motivated, Solution Engineer in the UK that can help support, sell, and train the Geotab product suite with new European customers.
Duties and Tasks/Essential Functions:
Become a Geotab subject matter expert on the Geotab hardware and application (and all Geotab products)
Provide expert and professional technical sales support on products, software and services provided by Geotab across the Reseller and VAR distribution channels
Advocate Geotab products to large wireless carrier staff from support staff to management as well as end user (customers)
Coordinate the overall technical sales process and maintain a good working relationship with the customers’ entire team – both technical and business
Participate in calls, web demonstrations and face to face technical demonstrations and presentations as part of the regular sales and channel development process.
Analyze prospects/customers’ needs and provide optimum hardware and software solutions to help meet the prospect/customers’ requirements
Managing mobile communications equipment delivery and installation, including cellular, GPS, and satellite technology
Definition and delivery management of vehicular interface installation including OBD, IOX interfaces and peripheral hardware and reporting solutions, including application interfaces
Software projects definition, development and implementation
Localize and fine tune Geotab solutions and reports to onboard end user (customers)
Train reseller sales and support staff on an ongoing basis
Build relationships with national (country) teams
Supply chain oversight to ensure goods are delivered properly.
Liaise with North America head office and various departments
Report into Director, Europe with a weekly SE report that identifies sales customer, weekly progress, gaps and successes
Ability to travel to Geotab North America, Head Office
Skill and Knowledge Qualifications:
University Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business
2+ years experience in telematics industry
Fluent in English and reside in London or Thames Valley area
Both technical and commercial competencies such as writing on RFP documents, RFI, RFQ, SOW creation
Software and hardware savvy, ability to learn a new product quickly
Advanced Excel: Business Intelligence Software, advanced Google suite skills
Detail oriented with experience in daily use CRM
Good presentation, facilitation, communication and negotiation skills
High comfort level and presence with senior management executives
Excellent analytical, administrative and organizational skills
