CANDIDATE RESOURCER



Reporting to Apprenticeships Team Leader

To support the Apprenticeship Team in filling the apprenticeship & traineeship vacancies found by the Apprenticeship Team and other sources within a timely manner to meet contract needs
To actively promote the apprenticeships & traineeships offered by CAS to key candidate groups through pro-active engagement strategies and marketing campaigns
To upload vacancies to the National Apprenticeship Service and other recruitment systems currently being used
To contact suitable candidates sourced through recruitment systems and conduct first stage telephone and Face-to-Face screening to assess suitability
To book interviews with candidates to meet employer needs
To source suitable candidates for vacancies – through work with schools, NAS and other agencies
Identify candidates suitable for traineeships
Identify strong candidates and liaise with the relevant apprenticeship advisor so they can focus on employers in a specific location or sector
Identify key schools to work with in the local area and arrange to meet teachers, careers advisors to discuss CAS apprenticeships & traineeships alongside the Apprenticeship Team Leader and Business Development Manager
Attend key careers fairs in the local area and arrange presentations for target school leaver audiences
To organise & run events to meet new candidates
Assist with national careers fairs
To assist the Apprenticeship team in creating and maintaining a candidate database
Be constantly aware of competitors and their regular changes in the local area


Essential Requirements:
A proven and successful track record of candidate resourcing within an education led industry
Knowledge of current Apprenticeship & Traineeship frameworks and requirements
Experience of engaging the target age group – Namely 16-24 year olds
Experience of using NAS and targeted recruitment sites to advertise vacancies and knowledge of maintaining those adverts
Experience of sourcing and attending relevant careers events
Able to work in an organised and timely manager to meet deadlines and contract needs
Ability to work independently to ensure deadlines are met
Strong team member with previous experience in providing a team support function
Exceptional oral and written communication skills
Computer and numeracy literate
