Training Co-ordinator



Overall purpose of the job:


Working with the Training Managers to prepare, co-ordinate, evaluate and document all training activities across the Company to ensure that statutory and core training is delivered to support the business growth and contract compliance.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • To assess the training needs for new and existing employees

  • Update and maintain accurate employee training records in accordance with the Contract training matrices and using the relevant HR Training database in place

  • Organise and arrange suitable venues and equipment for the Training Managers

  • Arrange an/or book courses as requested and liaise with the line managers when organising these courses

  • Liaise with approved greed training providers to arrange provision of training and development opportunities for employees/workers

  • Source internal and external training programmes together with developing training programmes to meet specific training needs to address competency gaps across the company

  • Carry out a Training Needs Analysis to meet Company and Client requirements

  • Keep up to date with changes in competency requirements from clients, industry or as a result of legislation impact

  • Keep updated and identify and investigate the options of a variety of delivery learning methods including classroom based training, on the job training, e-Learning etc

  • Report on attendance and non-attendance at scheduled courses

  • Produce relevant reports for line managers providing accurate information regarding re-qualifications and refresher training where required/needed

  • Design and apply evaluation tools to measure training effectiveness and provide feedback to both internal and external trainers as well as employees line managers

  • To maintain links and positive relationships with training providers

  • Assist with the organisation of in-house training provision and induction

  • To support Training Managers in the preparation of training materials, PowerPoint presentations and printing of resource materials

  • To identify and utilise any external free training sources e.g. breakfast seminars

  • Maintain internal training budget records

  • Assist in identifying sources of funding and making any grant applications as required.

  • Maximise the revenue available from CITB Grant system

  • To assist with the production of the annual CITB Training Plan

  • To assist with quarterly and ad-hoc CITB levy returns

  • Issue and collate returns for the Repayment of Course Fees Policy
