Islamic Relief Worldwide is seeking an enthusiastic and capable Website Administrator to join our ICT team based in Birmingham. As part of a team of developers and business analysts, you will be responsible for the performance, availability and accessibility of Islamic Relief’s WordPress based public facing websites.

You will bring a solid background in maintaining and optimizing professional WordPress websites at both server and application level. This includes a working knowledge of WordPress, PHP, MySQL, and associated administration tools. You will have experience of applying patches, updates and upgrade as part of managed change process, which includes user acceptance testing, technical testing and maintaining documentation all focused to ensure minimal loss of service.

The role involves working directly with internal content creators to resolve any technical issues, optimise technical performance, complete testing and support developments. You will have strong troubleshooting skills, working to resolve technical issues both independently and by mobilising external developers and technical resources.

A working knowledge of WordPress configuration, customisation and development would be advantageous together with knowledge of PHP and MySQL administration. Knowledge of Arabic language websites would be useful though not required.
